About this Website

From black holes, thermodynamics, electricity, and magnetism, to acoustics and aerodynamics, mathematical physics has helped answer many of the big questions about our world. Mathematics & Physics

Mathematical physics integrates knowledge from physics and mathematics to equip someone with the necessary tools to think critically about the world and how it works.

As you learn more about mathematical physics, you can gain a deep understanding of the physical world and develop skills in analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking that will enable you to adapt to a wide range of tasks in research, teaching, and management.

Mathematics is not a human invention, mathematics is a discovery of a pre-existing system of laws and geometrical structures, and those laws and structures are themselves innate properties of the human mind, located in the human brain. We can reverse-engineer the computational principles of human perception and cognition by examining the laws of mathematics.

This website is about all aspects of mathematical physics and science related to the world around us, and also modern technologies. These areas can be classified into three main regions:

  • Basic science refers to fundamental discoveries that advance our understanding of the universe (for example, particle physics, and genetic research).
  • Applied science refers to science that could lead to practical solutions to known problems (for example, optical switching, nanotechnology, and stem cell research).
  • Technology innovation refers to commercially available tools devices and platforms (for example, advances in chip design, microfluidics).
